We design races that celebrate landscape, history, and community, transforming geography into experience. From river spans to rail corridors to historic main streets, every Horizun event is built with purpose, precision, and pride — elevating both the athlete and the towns that host them.
Featured Event: Rivers & Rails Marathon

The Rivers & Rails Marathon is a destination running weekend rooted in landscape, history, and connection. Beginning and ending in historic Brunswick, Maryland, the course extends into Harpers Ferry and Bolivar, West Virginia, tracing the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers and the rail corridors that helped shape the region.
Runners will experience miles along the scenic C&O Canal Towpath, cross two iconic bridges linking states and stories, and move through communities where rivers, railroads, and American history intersect.
The weekend features a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K, welcoming runners of all levels while offering a course defined by natural beauty and a strong sense of place. Designed as more than a traditional race, Rivers & Rails blends endurance, exploration, and heritage into one unforgettable experience.
